Joyvin Benton
Joyvin Benton (she/her) is a program officer for the Carl B. and Florence E. King Foundation, supporting underserved communities across South Arkansas and the Arkansas Delta. She connects organizations with critical resources and increases state and national funding for communities often overlooked in philanthropic efforts. She connects organizational capacity with new funding opportunities. Joyvin earned her PhD from Rutgers University, specializing in systems and policy with a focus on education policy. While at Rutgers, she honed her evaluation expertise by assessing local, state, and national programs. She believes robust community-centered evaluation and research build strong organizational infrastructure and create positive, sustainable policy shifts. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially her vibrant 5-year-old twin daughters, who inspire her to build a more just and equitable future.
