Jaha Cummings
Jaha Cummings (he/him) is a visionary leader with over 25 years of experience in real estate, infrastructure, healthcare, energy, global markets and cultural preservation. An eighth-generation Floridian, Jaha blends deep community roots with a global perspective to champion sustainable development and innovative solutions.
As the founder of the Blanchard House Institute (BHI), an extension of the Blanchard House Museum, Jaha leads initiatives to revitalize over 250 underinvested communities nationwide impacted by Urban Renewal and/or historic neglect. Locally, Jaha has served as a three-term Punta Gorda City Councilman, was appointed to Florida’s Governor’s Taskforce on Abandoned African American Cemeteries and currently serves on the Florida Freight Advisory Committee and the Punta Gorda Police Pension Board. A member of Leadership Florida and co-chair of its 2024 Annual Meeting, Jaha fosters collaboration and growth across diverse sectors. Jaha is also a FINRA-licensed investment banker and Florida Realtor, with expertise in commercial real estate and public-private-philanthropic partnerships.
