Santiago Marquez

Santiago Marquez (he/him) is CEO of the Latin American Association - a 50-year-old service organization - in Atlanta. He was born in Cuba and came to the United States in 1971. Working in nonprofits since 1998, Santiago joined the Greater Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GHCC) as the chief operating officer in 2008 and became president in 2017. While at the GHCC, Marquez formed an alliance with the GA. Chamber of Commerce, essentially placing GHCC as the Hispanic arm of the GA. Chamber. Previously, Santiago served as the director of employment and housing for the Latin American Association, starting the first housing department to focus on Hispanics in Atlanta. In 2004, Marquez joined Boys & Girls Clubs of America implementing a Latino outreach strategy in multiple clubs across the country. Most recently, he served as the director of development of the Northeast region. In 2020, Marquez graduated from the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza School of Business, with a masters in nonprofit administration. He is a graduate of Georgia State University; alumnus of the Buckhead Business Leadership Class and Leadership Atlanta.. He is the proud husband of a beautiful wife and proud father of two beautiful daughters.
