Alan Miramontes Flores

Alan Miramontes Flores (he/him) serves as the post-secondary access coordinator at Centro Hispano de East Tennessee, where he empowers Latiné high school and college students to thrive in post-secondary opportunities. He began his professional career as a college and career access coach (2019-2021) with the Knox Education Foundation’s Project GRAD Knoxville Initiative at Fulton High School. In this role, he guided 11th and 12th-grade students through their transition to college. He then transitioned to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Maryville College as an enrollment counselor (2021-2023). There, he developed initiatives to increase immigrant student access to higher education, including visiting English Language Learner (ELL) classes, providing bilingual resources and connecting Latiné students with potential recruits.
