We are ecstatic to introduce our 2025 Mosaic Muse, Gaby Pacheco! Gaby Pacheco is a nationally recognized immigrant rights and education leader who serves as President and CEO of TheDream.US, the nation’s leading organization supporting Dreamers in higher education.

As a former Dreamer, Pacheco has spent the last two decades spearheading and leading campaigns that have transformed the landscape for immigrant youth, like championing in-state tuition legislation, passing protective policies, and advancing licensure bills across the country. She played a critical role in laying the groundwork for DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals), and was a driving force and strategist behind the movement that led to its creation.

In 2010, she co-led the historic Trail of Dreams—a four-month, 1,500-mile walk from Miami to Washington, D.C.—to call national attention to the plight of undocumented youth. Her testimony before Congress in 2013 marked the first time an undocumented Latina immigrant spoke to lawmakers as a witness during a Senate hearing on immigration reform.

With a deep understanding of both policy and people, Pacheco is a trusted voice in national conversations on immigration and higher education, and a tireless advocate committed to building a more just and inclusive America.
